Before clicking the link to see the burials in the Shamrock cemetery please note the following:

The original book had many mistakes, some spelling errors and some plot errors. Many infants were placed in the book under the parent's name and not the name of the child. When searching for young children, always check the last name of the child and check under the b's under "baby of.....".

When trying to find your ancestor make sure to search under all spellings of the last name, when the book was transcribed it was done exactly written in the book. Many mistakes were found when the headstone canvas was compared to the book, and these notations can be found in the notes section.

Unfortunately many graves are unmarked or marked with stones no longer readable.

On plot numbers you may find E123 or W1-4, these would be more than one plot: E1, E2, E3, and W1, W2, etc.

Also note that as of 6-1-2006 any items placed in the cemetery (such as concrete borders, etc.) must be approved by the Shamrock Cemetery Association or they will be removed at the owners expense. All flowers not in vases are subject to removal 10 - 14 days after any holiday. Any vehicle entering the cemetery other than a passenger vehicle, must check in at city hall before entering the cemetery. These vehicles must also enter through the east gate only.
