Shamrock, Creek co. Oklahoma

Located on highway 16 between Bristow and Drumright, Shamrock used to be a booming town. With the oil boom in the early 1900's, Shamrock grew to great size. In 1916 when the Old Town Shamrock moved to the New Town Shamrock, within a month the town had grown from 1000 residents to over 15,000 residents. As of the census of 2000 Shamrock has 125 people.
